Why are people against gay marriage and gays?

I say this because I go to a high where people are either against gays or for them. People say they don't like gays because its against ';God'; word.

I think those people are dumb because your are closing your mind to people. Personally I think there are many religions, and there are some good things you can take from each one, but don't get stuck in your ways about your religion, I think because you set yourself up for failure. Why are people against gay marriage and gays?
Religion is man made, it's humans who created it and humans who follows it, if any god wanted humans to follow his or her words then he or she would have made sure to tell them so in person. Religion is about values and morals and many of those are perfectly fine but then there are humans viewing them and humans deciding what they truly mean. Humans are by nature imperfect and biased. People are against homosexuality because of their own ignorance. They don't know how the world works and they don't want to know. It's like closing your eyes, plugging your ears and scream ';lalalalalala!'; even though you know that people are trying to help and educate you.

People want to hate even though hate is against their religion. Their god is the judge not them and by judging they are saying that they are greater than god, that's a sin and all sinners got to hell and since they are sending gay people to hell too they'll find that hell is a gay bar.Why are people against gay marriage and gays?
Gays will eventually destroy marriage. The government supports marriage through laws but we can't support anything if we can't define what we want to support.

If gays can marry, then there is no compelling reason to prohibit polygamy. If gays can marry, then there is no compelling reason to prohibit incestuous marriage. No one is going to vote for laws that support marriage when that means supporting polygamy and incest so the laws will be rescinded and government will work it's way out of the marriage business.
