How exactly does gay marriage harm straight people's marriage?

I've seen so many commercials saying ';gays are trying to change the way I live';. How will it change it? We're not trying to affect straightsHow exactly does gay marriage harm straight people's marriage?
My husband and I were JUST talking about this...for some reason people say ';it makes my marriage less legitimate in the eyes of God';... at least this is from a religious standpoint.

1. My husband and I had a civil ceremony (all that's required for a marriage license)...we are not religious either...we were never married in the eyes of God...we wanted to be legally married for the legal benefits of marriage.





2. Be secure with marriage. If you think you are married in the eyes of God be happy with it...and be SAD for all the others who aren't...in private...don't make everyone else follow your (collective) line of thinking LEGALLY.





According to their line of thinking my husband and my marriage is just as ';bad'; or ';less legitimate'; than gay marriage.How exactly does gay marriage harm straight people's marriage?
It doesn't...certain people are just so freakin' close-minded it's ridiculous...Please...my husband and I have absolutely NO problem with gay people getting married. If anything, it makes things better for everyone...the more happier people in this world, the better! My hubby and I personally think, that as long as you're a good and decent person, we don't care what you do!! Be happy, be yourself...I know that you will, 'cause you're fabulous...and know that you're changing the future for others to have it a lot better and easier!! Lots of love!!
its probably cause hard core christians believe that marriage is between a man and a women and that gay marriage means your disrespecting God





I am a Christian But i most sertainly dont believe in that stuff. I really don't think god is against homosexuality and same sex marriage.
It devalues the religious union of marriage, by bringing it to a legal stage. I agree that it should not have any effect on the way straight people live. but it makes them uncomfortable and who are we to force our oppinons down their throat when we will not listen to theirs.
Well, you have to admit. When divorce among straights is over 50% and divorce among gays is at less than 1%, it does make straight marriage look bad, doesn't it? Maybe it's a jealousy factor concerning public perception. :P
'Cause when Bill an Ted are spendin' all that qaulity time, it will make straight couples look bad. ';Honey, why can't we be more like bill an Ted?'; ';Maybe if you let me stick it in you're a** once in a while';
I don't know, they are saying that it will be taught in schools. I say that that is the same as showing straight marriage in schools. And why is it so hard to explain that to a child?

1.) it's just not how things were meant to be. it's not how we were put here, people are so mother ****!ng screwy.
It doesn't harm anybody.
I've often thought about this and cannot come up with one reason how it would affect anyone. Love is love.
