I mean honestly people! There can be religious homosexuals but can there be religious atheists? I don't think so. I mean atheists can marry. Why haven't the radicals tried to take their rights away by using god?So there are gay marriage bans but what about atheist marriage bans?
exactly! if the claim is that marriage is a religious institution, then why are we not taking it away from non-believers legally? people are just trying to justify bigotrySo there are gay marriage bans but what about atheist marriage bans?
As people say again and again, the power to grant marriage licenses lies in the government, not the church. If we want to grant someone the right to marry, the People must change the government's standards.
However, to take away the right to marriage between two consenting adults is awful.
You do understand, don't you, that two people can get married without any church or religious involvement what so ever? None. All they need is a judge or even a notary public in some states. The wedding can take place in a jacuzzi as far as the state cares.
The reason why gay marriage will win in the end is that a marriage in a church is meaningless.
The only rights that matter concerning marriage are the ones that are granted to you when you get your certificate at city hall.
Not all people get married in a church. Some are united in civil ceremonies. You don't have to be religious to get married.
Separation of church and state does not allow imposition of such laws.
they try an imma bite they ear off !!!
