It's a sad day when parents are getting angry at schools for teaching tolerance.Why is teaching children about gay marriage wrong?
They aren't trying to ';indoctrinate'; children into being gay. They are just trying to teach what is happening in the world. Cause in History and Politics that stuff WILL come up as well as with kids with gay parents. School teaches you about the world: gay marriage is in the world.

And FYI parents, teaching homosexuality to children isn't going to scar them at all (HELLO 13 year old GAY child talking here). It will just prevent allot of kids putting pistols in their heads. But if preventing that is so evil...

Wt... Just think about the act of homosexuality for a moment. Can you imagine the poor teacher in sex ed. class having to explain to teens how gays 'do it'? ('coz the students WILL ask, nothing surer) I don't think they should be teaching this. Looks like the world is ending sooner than I thought.

It is true that kids are eventually going to find out about homosexuality and gay marriage. However, when it comes to such an 'adult' topic such as sexuality, as a parent i would like to be the one to teach it to the kids. So i dont want the school teaching it. Its none of their business.
Also homosexuality is ridden with controversial beliefs and i want to teach kids my beliefs and values, which is my duty as a parent. Just as i dont want the school teaching them creationism in science class (creationism isnt part of science, churches can teach it if they want), i dont want them teaching gay marriage... since when have they taught heterosexual marriage in school? its not a school topic. They should keep their noses out of it.
It is not the job of the school to teach children about life. If they would stick to the subjects a child goes to school to learn, leave parenting up to the parents, and quit trying to assume more and more of the power and control over children, maybe the kids would actually learn something of value and importance.
Let the parents be the parents for goodness sake. It's ridiculous to bring someone elses sex life into full view of a bunch of snotty-nosed kids; that's totally irrational.
it's stepping into religion,and you just dont do that,whatever your opinions may be.but when it does come right down to it,its pretty gross and WRONG to explain the birds and the bees to a child who HAS TO know where 2 pens' go when thier married,or 2 virginia's go when they get married(kids do ask,and they also ask why,and how,and how this and how that).dont think they wont! i for one,dont want my children asking me that.i dont want my child into the same gender iether.if it happens when they are adults,then fine,they can learn all they want.until then..it's My rule,my say.not the school,or anyone else.its bs to market the way they think life should be.i think also,and to tell my child that its ok,makes them more willing to experiment.and people wonder whats wrong with society...Ugh.
school= classic books and text and tests,education in math,reading,writing,phys.ed,music,art,s鈥?a couple other useful classes.... it is mini mall with classes galore,show up and we'll teach you to a degree,mark you for failing,and oh,we're now teaching politics and sex ed,and how to become gay...cmon.next is mega mall and idiocracy at its finest.get real. get back to old school.

Would you want your children taught about bestiality in school? It all boils down to whether or not you are okay with gays in general. I personally have no problem with gay people, but that's why others have a problem with teaching it. If you were against gays you too would be against teaching it in the classroom.
Its not wrong. Kids have to know what the real world is, not some fantasy version. Gay is just as normal and natural as straight, and if you don't teach kids that, the gay ones have a much harder life because of the straight ones who were kept ignorant.
i think teaching children to be open minded and tolerant of others lifestyles is a very good thing.but hey what do i know im just a ***** liberal who believes that America should be a country that's free of persecution and intolerance.
It breeds the disease of death, immoral , un-natural, and an undesirable lifestyle for any child to have to endure. Let the child grow up to adult hood and then he or she can decide to destroy their respective futures.
Because its a belief. Gay marriage is wrong but some people think its alright. Which its not. Theyd have to get a permission slip from the parent because the parents might have a different belief
If done when only teaching about ';traditional'; marriage, or when teaching about diversity within the United States; race, gender, sexual orientation, education, wealth...? Nothing.
Because we don't really teach children about heterosexual marriage in the first place, perhaps?
Because some people imagine that education turns their children gay. lol :-)
Because our children's minds are so vulnerable that if they see the gay they will have no choice but to be sucked into its evil web.
