They could say their peace, then they could pull out a peice. That would probably do it.Can a person stop a marriage from happening?
Depends on what reason the person who objects might be able to produce for why the marriage shouldn't go ahead. I mean, if they say ';I have proof that one of these people trying to get married is already legally married to someone else';, then I suppose it would have to be investigated if there is something to the allegation. But if they just jumped up and said ';I don't want these two to get married just because I don't want them to';, then no, I doubt anyone would listen.
The wedding ceases, the officiate, bride and groom and the other party meet and talk it out. If they want to continue the ceremony and get married they do, if they want to call it off they do.
If your worried about someone doing this at your wedding you can always request the priest retract that from his spiel and they will.. But I've never heard of anyone doing that to someone at their wedding
They're asked to leave and the ceremony goes on. You can't stop anyone from getting married as long as they legally have the right.
I was so paranoid I had that line taken out of the ceremony! It wouldn't stop the wedding, but it would sure spoil the mood.
Get up and voice your opinion is all you can do hon.
they get to say their peace but they cant make you not get married relax
