I'd like to know the arguments of those against gay marriage. What does everyone think of gay marriage?
I have no problem with gay marriages. I find it interesting that so many heterosexual couples want to play house by living together and not getting married, yet gay couples are fighting for the right. Marriage protects the partnership. Without the ';silly piece of paper'; you have no rights in regards to property and/or medical issues. Especially with HIPAA rules and regulations, hospitals can refuse to let friends (including significant others) see their loved ones. Significant others also do not have a say in medical decisions, including life support. If gay people want those rights, then give it to them. What does everyone think of gay marriage?
I think it sounds pretty gay... but if that's what people want to do, I'm cool with it.
I also think that marriage has two components - a legal, nonreligious component, and a religious nonlegal component. (separation of church and state). Any arguments against it that cite religious reasons cannot be considered into the law.
Based on this, there is absolutely no legal reason why the government shouldn't recognize two dudes, or two chicks the way that they recognize a dude and a chick that want to combine their finances, and legal entitlements.
It is against the law of nature ! Queers and lesbians are the only species on earth that cannot reproduce their own offspring together ! That what makes being a queer or a lesbian a ';choice lifestyle';, because there is no genetic ';queer or lesbian'; DNA that can be created by them to be passed on in future generations ! So queers and lesbians can`t be ';born that way'; , because they haven`t been reproduced genetically ! In nature ';opposites attract'; !
It's not marriage. two men or women being married is not the same, it's not natural. It's not supposed to be natural, being gay is an imbalance in hormones. Marriage is not the same between gays just as many other things aren't. I know people will argue that they dont believe it's wrong so that makes it right, but do they apply the same logic to pedaphilia? polygamy? There seems to be a double standard there. and what will gay ';marriage'; lead to? will we soon be able to marry family members, animals? more then one person? proponents of the gay marriage movement lack the same answer for this, which seems very hypocritical. This extension of the definition of marriage leads down a road in American history I hope to never see.
well at least no one has to worry about a gay couple having lots of unwanted children, or having a few systematically put to death in an abortion clinic. same-sex couple could probably adopt a child if they really want to inherit somebody else's headache, that would be considered quite cool i believe. more often than i care to address, male and female unions are primarily responsible for chronic overpopulation and disposing of those unwanted fetuses too.
i don't no what everybody thinks but i think it should be allowed. it doesn't bug me and if it wasn't allowed nothing would happen. it woul just make it to not be allowed to get marriedbut they still will go on in life and do there stuff. everyone should be allowed to get married. CaRe To DiFfEr
Homosexually is wrong. Same sex leads to extinction. Why support anything that is so wrong?
gay marriage is the same as straight marriage.. a social construct that people are freaking out about for no good reason
i think it's wrong cause it goes against gods word
i think, just like so many other personal and private things, the government should stay out of it
