What is the purpose of marriage if it's the first time, second or third?

All I read is the complaining women do about the husbands or boyfriends. Occasionally I read a positive but the negative dominates. Marriage sucks, if the milk is free why buy the cow. What is the purpose of marriage if it's the first time, second or third?
Well you keep getting that cheap as* milk and when it turns sour you might man up and find the really quality milk....What is the purpose of marriage if it's the first time, second or third?
The purpose depends on your goals. No one is forced to get married, it's a choice. I chose to get married for practical and social reasons, I don't have any problem with marriage itself. Marriage doesn't make or break a relationship, it's just a convenient arrangement for a couple that is in a long-term relationship.
As someone who had a failed marriage at a young age (dnt ask) I always moan to my friends that i will never go down that route again, etc etc but deep down I dont think its right that one bad experience should let me deprive myself of something that can feel so good if both people in a relationship are understanding and want the same thing...~Plus 1st marriages are good for learning from mistakes and preventing them from happening in second time round. Marriage does not suck, its the partners that make it suck for the other person. Its great to see people in this day and age still feel strongly about marriage and commitment to one another. Sure its easy getting the free milk..but the lifelong supply from buying the cow is even better!!
About the cow metaphor. You buy the cow because she provides milk and does not charge you for it. I have yet to meet a dairy that would buy and feed a cow that charges for the milk she provides.





Marriage to a woman who ';saves it for the wedding night'; is for men who are comfortable with infrequent sex.
I think people should get married if the right person comes along. They should be sure though. I think they should live with that person for like a year or two to see what they are really like before even getting engaged.





I actually don't want to get married as my dad has been divorced 3 times now and as for my mom, who the hell knows.
Thats your opinion that marriage sucks and your only reading about the bad marriages cause happily married people dont come on here and complain.





My husband and i have been happily married almost 18 yrs and our marriage has been nothing but a blessing for us.
You buy the cow so you always know where your milk is coming from. Instead of just picking and running around to various cows.
some people go through life married more than once to find their soul mate i believe being married and then getting divorced is just an obstacle in life and in finding your destiny...may sound corny but that's what i believe...
Because we will ultimately be judged on the commitments we keep.
