What makes a Man have power in a marriage?

Here's an example...His wife has an affair, but he keeps her and now he is the Master and she is the Jeanie in a sense, but it's not suppose to be that way.

Is it Masculinity that gives him power or a weak wife?What makes a Man have power in a marriage?
Real man power is the ability to challenge wife, be pissed off with her, get angry at times of course, and still love her almost unconditionally anyway. He is not going to threaten her with leaving or finding someone else if she does not change etc.

what you are describing is a wife, crawling around begging forgiveness after an affair. She should grovel and she would be lucky to still have him after that. Sounds like she was weak having to go outside the marriage for love.What makes a Man have power in a marriage?
it's the fact she did wrong and she feels guilty(she should)so she lets him have the power, but if you think men have all the power you're crazy.women have the power, just cause she lets you think you do,just shows how much power she has
I don't think it has anything to do with masculinity in this scenario.

She is guilty, so she's trying to 'ask for forgiveness' by being submissive, perhaps by showing ';I'm sorry, here i'm all yours now and forever, 24-7 to ur beck and call';
Hes not very powerful if the wife is able to go out and have an affair. I think maybe she is sorry for her actions and doesn't want the situation to happen again.
doesn't sound like much of a marriage.

you have a very crooked angle of looking at what a marriage is.

to me it sounds like a sugar daddy kinda thing.
Life is a series of choices ...some aren't so good but there's no law that says you have to suffer through eternity for them. Make your choice and stick to it
masculinity given by By God, to be the head of the household.
Power in a marriage? To be respected, and to respect as well.
