It has occurred to em but the ridiculousness of the idea of two people of the same gender marrying is just way too much. It is laughable..
BTW there is no reduced taxation for married couples, they actually pay more..Has it occurred to any conservatives that marriage is about commitment, not gender combinations?
I do not think that granting the group of people in America with the least stable rate of holding a relationship the right to marry is the answer to promiscuity and less divorce. All you hear about is how gays and lesbians would be WONDERFUL married people. If you look at the statistics on their fidelity rate. it's higher than any other group of people. the answer to less promiscuity and more morality would be to get back to understanding what God wants from his people. But in this country, God is Santa Claus, he's only good for talking to when you're in trouble and need help out of a tough situation or for blaming every problem for the last 2000 years upon.

Any couple can commit and be monagamous without calling it marriage. Gay marriage isn't about that. It's about forcing the acceptance of gay relationships on others.

seems people who are against gay marriage have nothing better to do than day dream about what a gay couple does in the privacy of their own bedroom. everyone should have the right to marry, or no one should have the right to marry, period. and i don't want to hear about children or relatives marrying, that's not what this is about.
It's about committment, sure, but it traditionally provides women with economic security during their child-bearing and child-raising years, so it's about the raising of children, too. This excludes gay relationships.
I am not trying to stop people from committing, stabilizing and being monogamous. I just don't want them to claim the reduced taxation available to married couples.
Sorry it is all about gender combinations by legal definition. A man and a woman. That's it. Nothing else meets the required criteria.
Every fag I've ever known is not monogamous. They usually have a ';3rd'; person involved in their relationships. You don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Parenting is also about commitment........I don't want to sleep with my kids........marriage is a biblical union.......have your civil union.....leave marriage out of it.

Because some people are so frightened by gay people that they can't think straight. They must be extremely insecure about their own sexuality or why would they care so much?
