The former INS (now ICE) regional superviser was my neighbor and he told me the worst offenders on illegal marriage scams are the Nigerians. They go to a local black college and pay female students $10,000 to help them with phony marriage papers. While here, they then commit computer crimes, credit card scams, and sophisticated bank frauds.How easy do you think it is for illegal aliens to get away with marriage fraud?
Marriage fraud gets tougher all the time as ICE wises up to various ploys. Illegal aliens can no longer get adjustment of status, and any spousal visa application for an illegal alien gets the illegal deported and barred. Divorce within two years of receiving citizenship is a prima facie case of marriage fraud, and citizenship can be revoked and the person deported and barred from re-entry. We just keep closing the loopholes and weeding out the frauds...
very easy...if you go to tijuana where a lot of americans live, mexican women act as maids,lovers and at the biggining are nice to these men.i am sorry to say,the americans living there get disability and live for cheap there.but for those mexicans any amount of dollars is A LOT.also these americans drink way too much and think:what the heck,i麓ll have a woman and she麓ll clean and go get my liquor.no offense, the truth...
INS is stepping up their game. They observe you for a 5 year period, it use to be 2 , but was changed to a longer period of time. They can monitor you any time they want, call as many interviews as they want. All of this is to detect fraud, if they suspect you, they will immediately deport the immigrant and throw a ten year ban from entering the country. I do not think it is worth it for any person to try.
It is too easy!! Too many illegals think it is a way for them to stay in the States so they use people, offer them money to marry them etc...ICE is wising up to them finally and it is hard to prove, but some make it so obvious. Deport all, if they want to get married, they should go through proper channels and be made sure of it being a real marriage and not fraud!!
As easy it is for them to get away with everything else illegal.

There's no real way to determine if it's fraud or not unless they use a lie detector. And just because it's an illegal alien wanting to marry a Citizen doesn't make it a fraud. When you are in love, you are in love regardless of your status.

If it is done right, then it will be pretty easy to get away with. People just flaw in a lot of ways because they don't do things right.
