When you are in love and you are already emotionally, mentally, financially and physically ready, then a love marriage could be done between two consenting partners (male and female, of course) and this is the ideal. An arranged marriage is not in vogue nowadays in our society, but this is still prevalent in some other societies. The advantages of a love marriage is that knowing each other emotionally is a big factor in making the marriage work.
';Love marriages'; typically mean thatthe couple has already established that they like each other, that there is shared passion and that there is an attraction (hopefully on more than just a physical level). People often say ';love is blind,'; meaning that couples in love-relationships often overlook really important things that can make or break a marriage, because they are ';in love!'; That's the stupid part of having a love marriage, because people will make multiple excuses for abuse, inability to keep a job, irresponsibility, infidelity, just to maintain the relationship..... for a little while anyway. Those tend to be deal-breakers in most marriages. So that's the unrealistic aspect of love marriages.
I do not have a great experience of people who have had arranged marriages, but.....





You need to be able to make your own choices.





Love is undefinable..., it just is, and if you experience it you will know.





I know arranged marriages can work and can grow into love, but not always.





It is cruel to make someone stay with someone they have no feelings for. Maybe even to keep them away from someone they do.





when arranged marriages are arranged all practicalities are looked at, the cold blooded rationals. Love has no rationality and that is why it is so much more important.





If you are in a relationship and things get tough, love will bring you through it together, if there is no love there is no glue, no reason for you to try and make things better.





This is very, very difficult to quantify.





I have been married for 21 years and we have had a few tough moments, we knew that what we had was worth hanging onto so we worked at it and came through. It was without a doubt our love that brought us through, made those bad times bearable.





Without love you have nothing. Just things!
