Many marriage vows are broken.What is a true general statement about marriage vows and breaking them?
forsaking all others- I looked up forsake, and it means to abandon, desert, give up. it doesn't say quit your job because you're supposed to abandon your boss with the help you give to tend to thier problems, but it means that when your workplace ';team comitment'; starts blurring the line with your marriage ';team comitment';, that the vow is to help you keep your focus clear on what God wants you to do, so you learn what God wants for you (as well as any human can gather) to get out of life. The design is to help us get more out of life, not for God to get more out of us, as God doesn't need anything from us, anyway, but the opposite. The vows are to make it easier, TEMPTATION makes it harder.
