When will we find out if gay marriage becomes legal in New York?

The governor introduced and signed the bill, the house passed it, so when are we going to find out if the senate passed it, making it legal? When will we find out if gay marriage becomes legal in New York?
Well, hopefully it does get passed by the senate. It would be ideal that it were passed and not repealed shortly thereafter (Similar to the situation in CalifornIa)...

Those two states really hold quite a bit of sway and could have been the ones to sort of pave the way for other states to allow it.When will we find out if gay marriage becomes legal in New York?
The Governor did not sign the bill, if he did, then it would have become law already.

Here's the process:

-The Assembly writes up the bill

-The House of Representatives must approve of the bill

-The Senate must approve of the bill

-The President/Governor/Mayor signs it; OR

-If the President/Governor/Mayor vetos it, then if 2/3 of congress approves, it still becomes law anyway.

The assemply wrote it and it has been through the house of representatives, now it moves to the senate.

Updates can be found on the Human Right's Campaign Website: http://www.hrc.org/

If/When the bill becomes law, then HRC will have an update!

=)
We find out when it's officially announced, that's when.

And BTW - I think that we should all learn how to defend ourselves. I'm not saying go right out and buy a gun (not that it wouldn't hurt), but do SOMETHING. Because the more states that pass their marriage bills, the more crazies are going to come out from under their rocks and out of the woodwork, looking to take it out on the nearest queers they see. And I'm getting sick and tired of hearing about people in our community becoming statistics. I have no intention of letting someone do that to me or mine.
i hope it never does become legal
