How to be able to perform a marriage ceremony in catholic church?

My Fiance and I are getting married. We are not steady church-goers, but my fiance's brother-in-law is a devout catholic. Would it be possible for him to marry us? If so, what must he do to legally be allowed to perform the ceremony? How to be able to perform a marriage ceremony in catholic church?
Hi. I think you are a little mixed up.

In a Catholic Church, you must be married by a priest or a deacon. That's it. You cannot be legally married by anyone else if you want the wedding IN the Catholic Church.

Your fiance's brother-in-law can go online to become a wedding officiant, but if you want him to perform the ceremony it cannot be inside a Catholic Church....it can be anywhere else that you want it, though.

Good luck. How to be able to perform a marriage ceremony in catholic church?
In order to get married in the Catholic church, one or both of you must be practicing Catholics. They take marriage very seriously and do not allow outsiders to get married there. The brother in law would not be allowed to perform the ceremony as only a priest is allowed to do so.

You need to contact the marriage license office in the area where you are getting married. Some states don't allow anyone who isn't licensed clergy to marry anyone. Others allow it but the person you choose would have to fill out a form at the marriage license office to be ordained for a day.
He might be able to serve in your wedding if he's a deacon. If not, then no dice.

Anyway, to have a Catholic wedding, one or both of you must be Catholic. Catholics have a different understanding of marriage than most other faith. We consider it a sacrament, a holy and unbreakable three-way covenant between man, woman and God. If you don't believe that, you shouldn't even ask for a Catholic wedding.

Congratulations on your marriage, though, wherever you have it.
Negative.. unless he's a clergyman, minister, justice of the peace, etc.... he can't marry you, especially not in the Catholic church!
He can't married you, unless he is a priest.
