i dont think it is a simple YES or NO .
if it contradicts the law , then it is ok to criticise .
but , sometimes , even though it conforms to law , it can be criticised.
eg. sometimes , during marriage , huge amounts of food are wasted .
or ,
according to law , an indian muslim man is allowed upto 4 wives simultaneously and their divorce procedures are ridiculous . even though it is accepted by law , it should be criticised.
as for me , i criticise anything which is unjust . i dont mind if some custom does not make sense , as long as no one is affected by it .Is it right to criticize the heritage of a community especially in their food, marriage functions, customs?

All should be allowed to perform as per personal choice, need, taste etc.
But it is also bad to impose own thoughts on others.
Mother of a bride groom told the mother of bride: We do so and so in our home. You do this and that in this marriage. It is bad. Mother of BG can do anything in her home and mother of bride should be allowed to do all as per her choice in marriage of her daughter. Dictatorship / criticism is surely bad.
My wife is interested in tea. She can take tea.
I want lassi, I am unable to get lassi.
She: You are backward. I am forward. Take tea, forget lassi. I can not cook all for all.
I am without tea and without lassi.
I think judging people is wrong, no matter how you put it that is exactly how it is JUDGING. I hate to be around people that have judgmental eyes and all they see is what they don't like instead of what they do like.
it's ok to disagree but it's not right to criticize. especially if ur opinion is not asked.
No! It's wrong! But some people are just ignorant! They don't know any better so they just attack the customs of someone else! Just because they're different!
